Do you have the courage to celebrate the recession? Dear Human Being, in this country called America, congratulations for what you just did! Never in the history of humanity has any citizenship tackled the greed issue in a major force like this major economy – one of the largest on Earth, the most significant on Earth and the most powerful on Earth. But you have chosen to clean it up.
I’ve been thinking about the economic meltdown the world is going through. It seems interesting that it is affecting everyone either personally or someone within their immediate circle. This seems to be a way to get everyone on the planet aware of the change that is happening to us.
Starting back in the late sixties and early seventies there were psychics who saw a nuclear war with Russia as the means to make everyone question what their reality was. The war never happened but the sixties did bring in a huge change in terms of people’s expanded awareness. Then we had massive earth upheavals being predicted with the reasoning being that if you can’t even count on the ground that you stand on what can you count on. That also didn’t happen but we did get more violent weather and our attention turned to taking care of the planet that we live on.
Finally we have a crumbling of our worldwide economic base. This touches people where they live. It’s not a disaster that happened on some coast. It’s not a huge bomb that targeted a major city. It is a threat to our very way of living. People have usually been able to make a life for themselves depending on how hard they worked. Now it doesn’t matter what they do. We have massive layoffs that seem to be never-ending. We have people losing their homes. We have tent cities in America!
This was never predicted. Whoever or whatever thought to take away our base of reality to make us question it, without huge losses of life, was brilliant. What would happen if government could no longer take care of us? What would happen if we could no longer find food for our families. We would probably split into some people choosing anarchy and others choosing to create a new support system, and that has been predicted. I have long read and heard about small groups of people forming like-minded communities based on spiritual principles and that it would be in this way that we would raise the consciouness of the planet to a new level. We are spiritualizing our planet. I just never expected it to be this way.
I’ve been gone but I’ve not forgotten. I had wonderful holidays. I got sick. I worked. I lost income. I worried about the economy. I saw my family after three years. I enjoyed a beautiful snowstorm and was able to shovel snow. I read a lot, both fiction and spiritual. I read about other planets, beings and Universes. I read about nothingness. I breathed. I was happy, sad, ecstatic and depressed. I fear the coming future. I anxiously anticipate the coming future. I wonder why we have all this media depicting people with special abilities. I fear the unknown. I welcome the unknown. I missed you!
This whole blog is about the world and humanity changing. Since 1968 I have been reading about how the world would become more spiritual. That has included books and stories about possible nuclear war, drastic climate changes, some of the earth’s population moving up to a higher dimension and more. One of the authors that I have continually read is Kryon, a channelled entity that has been talking about this upcoming change since 1987. Since many of his predictions have come true, I include this one, entitled “The Shift Is Here“, for your reading.

Dear Brother Obama,
You have no idea, really, of how profound this moment is for us. Us being the black people of the Southern United States. You think you know, because you are thoughtful, and you have studied our history. But seeing you deliver the torch so many others before you carried, year after year, decade after decade, century after century, only to be struck down before igniting the flame of justice and of law, is almost more than the heart can bear. And yet, this observation is not intended to burden you, for you are of a different time, and, indeed, because of all the relay runners before you, North America is a different place. It is really only to say: Well done. We knew, through all the generations, that yo u were with us, in us, the best of the spirit of Africa and of the Americas. Knowing this, that you would actually appear, someday, was part of our strength. Seeing you take your rightful place, based solely on your wisdom, stamina and character, is a balm for the weary warriors of hope, previously only sung about.
I would advise you to remember that you did not create the disaster that the world is experiencing, and you alone are not responsible for bringing the world back to balance. A primary responsibility that you do have, however, is to cultivate happiness in your own life. To make a schedule that permits sufficient time of rest and play with your gorgeous wife and lovely daughters. And so on. One gathers that your family is large. We are used to seeing men in the White House soon become juiceless and as white-haired as the building; we notice their wives and children looking strained and stressed. They soon have smiles so lacking in joy that they remi nd us of scissors . This is no way to lead. Nor does your family deserve this fate. One way of thinking about all this is: It is so bad now that there is no excuse not to relax. From your happy, relaxed state, you can model real success, which is all that so many people in the world really want. They may buy endless cars and houses and furs and gobble up all the attention and space they can manage, or barely manage, but this is because it is not yet clear to them that success is truly an inside job. That it is within the reach of almost everyone.
I would further advise you not to take on other people’s enemies. Most damage that others do to us is out of fear, humiliation and pain. Those feelings occur in all of us, not just in those of us who profess a certain religious or racial devotion. We must learn actually not to have enemies, but only confused adversaries who are ourselves in disguise. It is understood by all that you ar e commander in chief of the United States and are sworn to protect our beloved country; this we understand, completely. However, as my mother used to say, quoting a Bible with which I often fought, “hate the sin, but love the sinner.” There must be no more crushing of whole communities, no more torture, no more dehumanizing as a means of ruling a people’s spirit. This has already happened to people of color, poor people, women, children. We see where this leads, where it has led.
A good model of how to “work with the enemy” internally is presented by the Dalai Lama, in his endless caretaking of his soul as he confronts the Chinese government that invaded Tibet. Because, finally, it is the soul that must be preserved, if one is to remain a credible leader. All else might be lost; but when the soul dies, the connection to earth, to peoples, to animals, to rivers, to mountain ranges, purple and majestic, also di es. And your smile, with which we watch you do gracious battle with unjust characterizations, distortions and lies, is that expression of healthy self-worth, spirit and so ul, that, kept happy and free and relaxed, can find an answering smile in all of us, lighting our way, and brightening the world.
We are the ones we have been waiting for.

Many years ago I heard a psychic give a reading on the government of the United States. It was after one of the last two elections, which felt bad for about half of the population. Many times I have heard that the population of a country gets the head of state that matches the frequency of that population as a whole. She re-iterated this in her reading. Then she said we would get a great leader who will lead us into the New Age either in 2008 or 2012, depending on where we were at spiritually. She could not tell whether we would be ready or not in 2008. Well, it seems we were.
The psychic went on to say that things would be difficult but that we would get inspiration from this leader who would help us make the transition. I, for one, was very inspired by this election. It felt like the campaign of Barack Obama was run very cleanly and efficiently. It has been reported numerous times that his campaign was the best that there ever was. It overcame a lot of prejudice and attacks to win a very large majority. Reports of the election two days later are now saying that total voter turnout could be 133 million, the largest turnout ever. The most amazing aspect of this election though was how the world responded with joy to the news that a black man won. There were reports that this election restored the faith in the US, that it made our saying of ‘anything is possible in the U.S.’ be proven true and that since this was a man of the world, maybe he would look a little more kindly at everyone else.
I keep seeing all the signs of a HUGE coming change showing up all around the world. This election had a bigger reaction than I ever thought possible. Even some of the people who didn’t vote for Barack got swept up in the Hope that came from him. Now, the stock market is headed down again and we wait to see what he can do to help us live better, or easier, or more fulfilling lives. I don’t know how he can help with that but he has surely given us hope and a sense of destiny reborn. These are exhilarating times we live in and I can’t wait to see what will happen next.
Think of the title as a metaphor for the current financial crisis. Where is the yellow brick road these days. People are actually talking about a depression. That’s something most of us have only heard stories about. Big change is coming and there’s nothing we can do anymore to stop it. A lot of people intuitively know something monumental is happening and yet they continue to try to hold on to the old ways. I no longer see this crisis as doom and gloom but a huge flashing billboard saying hold onto your seats because you ain’t seen nothing yet. We don’t know what is on the other side of this crumbling of all our institutions but it is the price we have to pay to see what is behind the curtain. What’s behind the curtain is still beyond our comprehension.
We have been told this change has been coming for a long time. In my own life I remember that the stories for me began about 40 years ago, somewhere in the 60’s. At that time they were so far fetched that all we could do was hope and continue meditating. Then 30 years ago spirituality went mainstream. Meditation, yoga, alternative medicine and healing came out of the closet and into the suburbs. 20 years ago was when we started to look at taking care of Gaia or Mother Earth. We decided it would be better to keep the planet that we lived on clean and healthy. The green movement also went big and everyone began recycling. 10 years ago, for most people, we agreed that our climate was changing and we were responsible. The ozone layer was in trouble and the polar ice caps were speeding up their melting cycle. Now we have the biggest summer ice melt we have ever seen.
This is like going through the Black Forest. It is soo dark and scary that all our fears come up and we get to take a good look at them. As we come out of the forest into the sunshine we wonder what the big deal was but while we were there it was terrifying. We are just walking into the forest and we don’t know how big it is. We don’t know when we will come out the other end either. Just hold the thought that we will come out and the sunshine will feel so good that we won’t remember any of the bad times. It’s just like Dorothy said. “There’s no place like home.”
With the recent upheaval and upcoming changes to the financial system it seems that another one of the pillars of our society is falling. First we started with things on a global scale. Communism fell, the Catholic church lost a lot of credibility with their scandal, and multiple countries had politicians abusing their power and getting caught. The United States especially has lost a lot of its influence in the world over the past few years. Now we have the financial industry, the one that keeps us afloat, on the brink of bankruptcy and ruin. What does this mean?
I believe it means we are getting ever closer to a massive change in the way the world works. We are becoming more spiritual and the selfish and petty ways we have been running the world will no longer work. All the old ways have to change and change quickly. If we don’t make the change voluntarily it will be made for us and the speed at which it changes will feel anywhere from harsh to ‘life as we know it’ threatening. What can we do?
